Hey what’s up fellow modders. I’m new around here but I thought that i would throw up my WorkInProgress right now. Its a cooler master ATC-S aluminum case going through a serious transformation. Id like to thank my friends over at thetechlounge for helping me out on the sponsor of this mod. But enough with the small talk, lets get to the modding shall we :D

This is my new modding project log called "Liquid Metal". So far I’ve been working on it since around the middle of August, between school and such. [Big Update 12-25]

[ How about We get Started on this top! ]

Allright, here we go, I finally got around to getting some work done on the top of my case and some other parts so this is gonna be one big ole update! It’s a lot of bondo and is going to take a lot of patience but I think this rig is headed in the right direction.

Well, it looks like we have your run of the mill, ole boring aluminum and “stock” CoolerMaster Aerogate II Fan Controller, going to have to spice this sucka up!

After some sanding, primer, and a cool blue metallic paint!

That’s better, not so ugly any more! 

First I’m going to sketch out the area I want the bondo on, then make incisions with the exacto knife to get the perfect bondo border!

Make sure to be safe and have all the necessary tools when working with chemicals, paints, and stuff that generally just smells terrible (bondo!)

Here is after about 4 or 5 layers with sanding!

And after the spot putty has filled in all the holes, uneven areas, and general flaws of the human hand…

Decided I wanted to make a custom HDD cooler out of one of my 5.25 bay drive covers, using some PVC pipe, and my good ole friend Mr.(B)ondo. Its going to house 3 40mm Blue led fans that I am going to paint Chrome.

First you need to make sure you have all the necessary modding tools.

Nothing better than Pennywise’s Full Circle Album and some good Ole Fashioned Case modding! 

Heres my Crazy A$$ about to kill someone with a Jigsaw LOL!

First we need to make sure we have all the Appropriate tools to get this job done!

The Subject…After a Few big hits with a Hammer.

    Let’s Clean this thing up!

First Miserable Coats of Bondo and a little bit of primer to see where were at..

Igor Fetch me some more bondo and spot putty!

MuaHaHaHaHa… a bunch of sanding, bondo, and spot putty and BAM!! You get this!

Thats all for now Folks, More updates in the NExt few Days cuz I am working on this thing like a Fiend!!!

    It's alive.... ALIIIVEEE!!!

Dude, sweet mod :) I really like the propellor noses. Firstly I didn't think it would work out to Dremel some holes into a perfectly good brand new CM case, but it really did work out well. Youév already got quite some skills on bondo and painting. Keep up the good work.

(Besides that, what the story on your toe nail, doesn't seem to be in such great shape? õ_o)

How are you creating the shapes with bondo? As they are perfect on each side.

Chr!s >> With the bondo, i applied it with gloves on my hands, then I sanded it down to those shapes. Its really just a practice sort of thing, i suppose thats how I achieved really accurate slopes on the intakes. I just sand the crap out of it. I have a Bosche Power sander and my hands to do all the sanding. I also smoothed out like the 4th and 5th layers of bondo applied with a putty nife so it wasnt tooo much sanding from there, just a little trick i learned along the way :D

Kumo >> Thanx man, I appreciate your compliments. :thumb:

Jokkocze >> Yes, very tragic how it is dead, i think theres some type of fungus too. I swear soo many peoples nails get like that as they get older. :jawdrop:

I commend you for the patience on the bondo work. I started so many times on some bondo work and get annoyed before I can ever finish. :wallbash:

    Good job thus far.
