You should have primed it before putting your top coat on. :sigh:

    I know ....
but all the local shops are closed ... :sigh:
But I'm placing 2 layers of paint on it, so I hope that will do

I've done the same as you did. The bondo spots will be visible, no matter how many coats of regular paint you will spray over it. If I were you, I'd put the front to the side and wait till the shops are open again. I'd really get some more bondo to finish it off, some new sanding paper, and some primer. Not just primer for the front... Without primer, the paint on the sides will come off very easily. I wouldn't like to see that happen. I like the looks of the case you are modding too much for that.

this could come out great if you redo the paintwork on the front... The idea is GREAT, though... i have an old case (3 actually) that have about the same look... i really want to bring them out and make something similar myself... i have the idea in my head and everything...

    Thanks for the inspiration :)

about the primer and bondo stuff.
I was planning to do it again, but my dad said I couldn't ...
last time I was sanding the front the entire house was covered in a layer of dust :sigh:
    mom was pissed :hehe:

but atleast I learned something for the next time ;)

I can't upset my dad at the moment, because I still want to build my next project with his "help" (eerm , you may read it as "money" :hehe:)

But look what I found, dual 10cm blue neons :naughty:

that will keep my server looking fancy :hehe:

as soon as the varnish is dry I'll update it (will be for tomorrow)

    Greetings,
    Brubacker

note , teaser pic on my next project ...

ow yes, a watercooled aluminum FTP server with 2Tb , 1Gb RAM and a P4 3Ghz (hardware is laying around in my room ;))

    but that's for later :hehe:

Not only did you want to prime it, but also wanted to use some spot filler ontop of the bondo. The spot filler gets out all the micro scratches in the bondo.

Cant wait to see how this turns out, And your next project looks great.

    **UPDATE 5**

The case is as good as finished.
all I've got to do is replace the old beige DVD player with a black CD player and replace the CPU cooler and PSU.
But I'll first show you the finished pictures.

    the finished front

the painted chassis (I forgot to remove the stickers :duh: :duh: )

temporary PSU ( levicom PSU with dual 80mm fan, so one of the fans sucks the air away from the CPU :) )

TIGHT FIT !!! (just a few millimeters left ... )

pretty hard to attach the ATX plug

the back as it is now

    I hope you like it.
    Greetings,
    Wim

note, I'll try fitting the neons in, but I don't think I'll use them.

It looks good. The optical drive doesn't really look good with it though. Maybe you could mod that??

I always want to finish my mods ASAP ( and specially if I need the PC :hehe: )

but my next project ( the FTP server ) will take a lot longer ( I think :hehe: )

just got the 8 ports switch up and running and I get amazing speeds :)

this is a whole improvement for me ( first I had a 5 ports 10/100 HUB (router) )
