I meant a screenshot of the bootvis summary after it records it.

7.3 seconds, yes, you heard right, 7.3 seconds... Mainly due to the fact that i dont have any programs in the registry on startup :-D and the rest is a secret

    Does this work with SP2?

I've just tried it and it took ages to restart the computer, a lot longer than normal. And then it came up with an error. Oh well. Can I just time it on my watch please?

Big List of services that can be disabled or put on manual here, just about to go through mine, so if I'm not back tonight, don't go there... :worried:

Works OK with my SP2, no good using a watch as the red-line time is long before the hour-glass stops.

Thats because bootvis waits for everything else to start before it does, that way it does not slow down your boot time.

It's all in how you optimize it. LINK I just felt like pimping my own thread. I'll update it soon, promise.

32.51 sec with a bunch of un-needed stuff loading.

    spec:
    P4 530 3.0ghz HT LGA 775
    ASUS - P5GD2 Deluxe
512 corsair value ram (2x256) dual channel
    one raptor 36.7 gb drive.

I'll re-OC it and see how it does.

That didn't improve much! I got 32 seconds flat, and my new specs are as follows:

    Win XP Pro SP2
    P4 530 3.0 ghz HT LGA 775 @ 3.73ghz
    ASUS P5GD2 Deluxe (obviously)
    PC2-4300 533mhz Corsair value ram 2 x 256 dual channel @ 667mhz (PC2-5400)
    Raptor 36.7gb SATA drive
Only startup item was Zone Alarm but i dont think that had any effect as its the shell start-up time. I need to do a clean install, I just wish i had SP2 on CD.
Just wait until i get my dual 74gb raptors with a cached SATA card.

    *EDIT*
I managed to get it down to 30.95 with some tweaking but im going to do a fresh install in the morning.
