Well it's time for a new box, I have a general idea what i want - but I could do with a little help on the specifics :)

I know i want a nice big CoolerMaster Stacker, 2gb ram and a 64bit processor, but im stuck on the motherboard and water cooling (never used water cooling before).

The PC will be used for online gaming, as well as lots of Multimedia work (Photoshop, Premier pro).

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

    Here's the list to date...

    Case:
    [ ] CM Stacker STC-T01

    PSU:
[ ] OCZ Powerstream or ModStream

    Memory:
    [ ] 2x512MB Corsair XL Pro DDR400

    Hard Drives:
    [/] 160gb Western Digital IDE
    [ ] 240gb

    Motherboard:
    [ ] Asus A8V (Rev 2.0)

    Processor:
    [ ] AMD Athlon 64, socket-939 3200+ Winchester

    5.25" Drives:
    [ ] 16x Dvd R/RW Dual Layer

    3.5" Drives:
    [ ] Floppy
    [/] ZIP 100mb (IDE)

    Graphics Card:
    [/] GeForce 6800 GT

    Sound Card:
    [/] Soundblaster Audigy 2

    Speakers:
    [/] Creative 5.1

    Mouse:
    [/] Logitech MX-700

    Keyboard:
    [/] Logitech Internet Navigator (SE)

    Monitor:
    [/] 18" I.T. Works TFT

(Ticked boxes I have already purchased).

I'd suggest the ASUS A8N SLi or the A8N SLi Deluxe there out on the 15th of Jan in the UK. In a few months time when prices come down on graphics card u can stick another 6800GT in there and get heck of an increase in performance. that’s what I plan do with 6600GT's

    ASUS A8N SLi // £85ish

    ASUS A8N SLi Deluxe // £120-£130

    Thanks for the input :)

How do you plan on having two gfx cards? One AGP and one PCI?

What do you guys suggest for PSU, I heard OCZ are quite good?
I want something powerful, yet quiet.

If you have a 6800GT (AGP) which I assume you have then the A8N SLI will be no good for you.

Get the Asus A8V (Rev 2.0), guaranteed to be rock solid in every respect.

PSU, cant go wrong with a OCX Powerstream (need the long cables if you are going with that big, ugly monster of a case)

For your RAM go for 4x512MB Corsair XL Pro DDR400. 2-2-2-5 and really stable.

The NEo 2 Mobo is onyl good IF you get a good one (lots of people seem to get bad ones though, including me :()

Yeah I have an AGP 6800GT.

Kool, looks like i'll go for the Asus A8V Rev2, and the 4 sticks of 512.

For the PSU I'll get a OCZ Powerstream or ModStream.
450 or 520 should both be sufficient im sure.

Now i just need some help choosing a Water Cooling system, and i'm sorted :D
Thanks for all the help so far.

    Abit A8V 3rd Eye VS Asus A8V Rev2

From looking at the specs the Asus seems slightly better.
    Not by far mind.

Prices on kelkoo seem the same too.

Any pros/cons the specs wont tell me? :)
You guys seem to like the Asus a lot, good experiences?

I think that MX510+Steelpad4D will be better than just MX700. You'll feel the difference. I use it this couple for some time, so i can say such kind of stuff.
