So here is another LianLi V1000b. I am working on this machine for some time now. Some minor mods already have been done. Ripped the hardware out of my old case: (some parts have been changed) My brandnew V1000b with floppy, swap-drive and dvd/rw installed: Drilled a hole for better cable-routing: First test wether everything fits (old vga-cooler, sata-drives are removed now): This will be the frontplate for my 4x20 text-lcd:
Update !!!! Some new hardware but still a "before" shot: A tight fit with the Zalman NB-Cooler and the PoV GF6800: Top Blowhole 120mm: Rear "grill" removed and a radiator faceplate installed: Top Fan installed:
Switch your blowhole grills, the one on the rear fan looks much better than that generic bullseye looking one.
Is it just me or is that a massive HSF you've got on there? I like this new Lian-Li case a lot, and it seems like it's the general consensus: there are several projects going on right now using this case. Good luck finishing this up.
Agree. Change 'em. Remember: It's the details makin' the whole look perfect. Whatever... I like what I've seen 'till now.
The HSF is a Thermalright XP-120 cooling a A64 3400+. You might be right that the rear fan grill looks better, but i like the look of the top fan grill and how it comes out. Some more shots: Everything installed: Nightshot 1: Nightshot 2:
why fangrill on your cpu fan? if no cables hanging around there is no harm. maybe remove it, it must me nices like that. and good work
Well, there is really no need for the fan grill on the cpu-fan, but i think it looks a better than the plain fan. Tomorrow i will shoot some fotos of my modded Zalman fan-controller.
It´s looking great!! I love the "businessman-style".. And the leds are good when they are only one color.. I dont like those uv-shufflebuffles..
Small update, more updates this evening (CET): Plexi-Cover for the hole in the middle-section: klick for big
Yes, intentionally didn´t correct my mistake. Waiting for the replacement fan which will be here in a day or two.
Well, fans finally arrived. Got some aluminium fans with led-lights instead of the plastic ones for free, because the ordered fans were out of stock. BUT my motherboard died somehow. Either it stucks before the memory test or none of the USB-ports will work. Until i will get an replacement i will use an Asus K8V SE, which i will have to buy tomorrow. So no pics for today. Sorry.
