ok, I just bondoed the rest of the vent slats on the window panel, so now i just need to sand and paint that panel and then its ready for my computer parts! after that there is just some small stuff to do ( drive stealthing, window inserting, etc.) and then i will be done

ok! im so close to finishing! here is a picture i took a few minutes ago with my webcam, so thats why its so poor quality. I just finished painting last night, and riveted on the handles a few minutes ago. all thats left is to put the computer parts in it and put the window in, which i cant do till thursday. i also need to prep the drive bay covers for stealthing, and wiring up the fanbus. anyway, heres the pic.

well first off its still too "new" looking. try scuffing it up a bit with soot and then lock it in with clear coat and then rough that up it will look spelded.

also those shiny fan grills have to be rusted or something. anyway this case still has lots of potential.

i would also suggest some wicked military lettering on the top or bottom. remember that they didn't use yellow lettering untill the 'Nam war (or was it korean) anyway use black lettering, that way it would be more authentic :D all in all it still looks great
    MOD ON!!

Lookin good. Are those handels just rivited into the top? Or into the top and a support beam too? I wouldnt just trust the top piece of metal to hold that computer.

dont worry, im going to rust the fan grill, but i dont know how much to, maybe just a light coat of rust. also i am going to scuff it up and then seal it all in, the only problem is that when you hit it the grey paint comes off and you can see the biege underneath. maybe if i put some rust over the biege but left the shiny aluminum visible it would look good... well, ive got some experimenting to do. more updates to come.

sand... powder coat... the... of course i did, why wouldnt i... i need to go, i have some painting to redo, i mean, do.

    :wallbash: :wallbash: :duh: :wallbash:
maybe i can make it stay on with some sort of sealer, to stop the chipping. it doesnt fall off, it comes off when you bump it. ill just haveto be careful around it and not to kick it under the desk.

Looks good so far. add some bullet holes on front panel (might i suggest using a soldering iron ;), and maybe using an external liquid kid with sleeved tubes that look rusty.
