let me just point out yer www.ebuyer.co.uk as he said, please take some time to read what he says or if your really lazy http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=65697 took 1minute to find actually in my personal appnion i disagree, the case is made purely from alluminium, why put a piece of plastic c molding round and ruin the whole theme. You can purchase a c molding made from metal. or deburr the edges of the cut and clean them up.
Sorry, also disagree, the lines are lovely and clean at the moment, black trim would spoil this Awesome project btw Rowan
Ehehehe Cpu has arrived i cant wait to fire this monster up. But before i can do that fittings for watercooling need to arrive p.s The holes will be cleaned up when i next remove the motherboard but i dont realy like the idea of black trip cause 1. case isent black 2. at moment the top of the case is flat exept for the bolts the grill done come out the holes they fit perfectly P.s any marks on top of case is just dust btw from were its been sitting on my shelf Sc4mpi out...
exactly scampi much respect to you and your work, my appnion if you make a good enough job of a cut why should you cover it up and my appnion it looks like a lovely job of cutting out the holes
That may be the cleanest home made cut ive yet seen. No way I would add black rubber trim around it. BTW what are those bolts you have mounting the fans in? Where can I get some. And do they thread into the plastic fans like normal screws?
Awesome mod man. Have just convinced me too get a triple 120mm radiator new water cooling setup to go in my new mountain mods UFO case! Just wanted to know how noisey the fans are as im about to put around 7 120mm fans in one system!! And there a good price too
Looking sweet so far , keep going little one. /me wants upgrade "curses phone" /edit Forgot too mention and ask on msn and well the thought just popped into head can you measure from the last fan on too the last fan hole on the triple rad and and tell me pls i'll edit my grill design and make one that works with the Thermochill rads Thanks Morgan.
There M5 allen head bolts (got them from screwfix 50 for 2.40 ) There can be screwed into a normal fan , but i taped the holes first with a 5mm bit so the bolts glide in very nicly, plus the heads dont thread The ebuyer fans are quite loud with 7 of them at 12v, i used to run them all at 7v and 5v which they were uterly silent, if u can rig them into a fan controler then they will be fine (ow that remindes me , need to get some form of fan controler for this project) P.s sure thingy morgan just tell me were u want me to measure or if not ill just bring the whole things round yours.
Very nice setup so far. What did you use to cut those 3 120mm holes on the top of the case? Very clean.
I have some M4 bolts, but they wernt long enough and they dint seem to hold the fans in very well the M5's give a very nice tight fit, perfect for holding that heavy rad nice and steady HOLES WERE CUT WITH A 118MM HOLESAW
right iv been looking at how im going to tube this whole thing up and so far come up with two plans. 1. Dual bay res -> hpps pump -> Innovatek xx-flow rev 2.0 -> Thermochill 120.1 -> NV-40(1) -> NV-40(2) -> thermochill 120.3 -> graph-o-matic -> bk to res. 2. This is the plan if i add my extra radiator Dual bay res -> hpps pump -> Thermochill 120.1 -> Innovatek xx-flow rev 2.0 -> Black ice Pro -> NV-40(1) -> NV-40(2) -> thermochill 120.3 -> graph-o-matic -> bk to res.
