Hi everyone, I'm doing some research aimed at providing you guys with the best service we can manage here at Bit Forums, so I have a simple poll for you today: What resolution do you use for reading the bit-tech forums? Please tick the box next to the most appropriate option, making note that there is a box for each common resolution if you browse with IE / Firefox / whatever maximised, or if you use your browser in windowed mode. As an example, I run 1280x960, but my Firefox window is not maximised - I used a window of around 1000 pixels wide. If your option is not available, or you have any other comments to make, please post them below. Your input is very much appreciated, and will help us at bit-tech improve things.
Sounds like a pretty sweet widescreen laptop you've got there mate - do you run IE6 windowed or maximised?
kobaj - the size of your screen, whether it's 17" or 19" or whatever, isn't the important thing - it is the resolution at which you run that makes the difference. For example. I run 1280x960 on a 17" CRT, but if you owned a 42" plasma screen, but run the same resolution, then the forums would look the same (just physically bigger) Make sense?
I am saing on one of my moniters I have it 800 by 600 and on another I have 1200 by something or other .
Do you use both to read the forums? I guess maybe just pick whichever one you use the most, and I'll make a note of your comment that you run different resolutions on two machines
im running 5120x1280 i have it spanned across 4 moniters tho soooooooo that would be 1280x1024 i believe
1600x1200 maximised, sorry to steal your thunder Bruno_me Hopefully moving to 1920x1200 (or higher) later this year.
Make that another vote for 1600x1200 maximised Strange child, I can't stand having things not maximised
