SketchUp Sketchup Components Collection (SCC) Discussion

Hi everyone, my first input on this thread and hopefully not the last. I just started working with SketchUp (3 day now) and I love this program. I am so glad that there is a section in the Bit-Tech forum dedicated to SketchUp users. Good to know that if I need help that there are good knowledgeable people here that can help.

Right now I am working on a case mod for my CoolerMaster ATC-110 case at the same time learning the program. It is still a work in progress, any suggestions or comments that you could give me would be great.

Has anyone drawn/seen a dual CPU motherboard? I'm lookng for one but cannot seem to find it. and by sketchup skills are very poor (for now)

 

why do you need a dual cpu mobo? wouldnt any mobo work?

I decided to draw the case in 3ds max instead.

 

I am new to sketchup and can't really make anything, but I have a request for someone to model a case in sketchup. I was wondering if someone could make a model of the the Lian-Li V2000B. I know it's a big case and would probably be hard to model, but I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

 

I am sorry to post in this thread, but I try not to clog forums with new topics when I can help it...That said, here's my question:

Where did all of you get your hands on Sketchup? I'd love to get it -- have wanted to have it since I watched the video over a year ago! -- but I don't have the $495 (or whatever) to shell out for it. And I don't want to pirate it, either. I'm just curious if any of you know of a place that sells it for a discounted price. Thanks for your time!

 

there is an educational license option which could save you a lot of money...

Database of SketchUp Models?

Has anyone made a database of these sketchup models yet? I just came accross this thread and I see where I could help. I have about 2 gigs of web space and a bunch of php/perl/mySQL stuff that I could use for a database system where you guys could sign in and submit models to it, along with a bunch of other stuff. If someone has already done this, cool. Just letting you know I would be willing to help.

Hey jazzle, on your site I see a Zalman ZM80D-HP Video Card Cooler on the computer on the front page but can not find it in any of your collections. Can you post a link to it please. I would love to use it on a project I am working on.
