Modding Glass etching kits

    I was looking for a way to etch glass easily when I stumbled upon this.

    Has anyone utilized one of these kits before? Since the cream is a kind of acid, do you think it could be back-lit with LEDs to accent the etch itself (depth of the actual etch)?

    Unless you really need to use glass, (for temp reasons), I think it would be too heavy.

    Plexi works fine, you can etch it with ease.. sand paper, dremel.. going higher tech laser..

    Cost benefit of glass just doesn't cut it for me. But cool and nice find on that kit.

    Thank you for the reply. The actual purpose of the glass etching kit is for use on a gift to someone. I prefer acrylic myself for all other things. :D

    Oh..

    Well in that case, for what you want, I'm sure it would work just fine.

    Might have to angle the LEDs a little bit to catch the etch, otherwise should work.
