Modding help on macromans case

    now is there a guide on how to make the baybus thingy and where to find the parts for it (note i live in uk)

    any help would be great thanks sboy

    The baybus seems to be nothing more than a regular one that has been inset so the nobs are protruding less!!

    From the article: "The fanbus is a 4 channel electronic affair with press-on/press-off rotary speed controls. These controls are mounted on a sub chassis, which is bolted to the drive bay front panel. The control knobs are sunk into the panel and have been drilled out to accommodate a red led. The front panel is backlit with blue neon string. All the front panel wires are connected to the circuit board via plugs and sockets to facilitate easy removal. The fanbus circuit board is mounted in a cut down case off an old busted CD drive."

    "3mm nuts and bolts retain the control mounting plate. The front facing surface of the mounting plate was covered in chrome tape to reflect back the light from the neon string. This helped to give a very uniform lighting effect. "

    These are not the EXACT guides on how to do this exactly...but with a lil' imagination..you can accomplish this!! If you have any ??? let me know!!

    This is pretty much the circuit used, the only difference being, the pots switch is in line with the feed to the fan to switch it on/off.

    could you please just quickly edit the image to show the change you made with the pot? I didnt quite get it.

    help Rheostat 50 ohm – FX97F maplins dont do them anymore anyone know where i can get them?

    read his post above. above the picture he said somehing about some thing he made different from the picture of the curcuit. And i didnt understand that part.
