This is my second mod, in cooperation with JoyTech, many thanks go to Pelle Lundborg Now for some math if we take this and add some of this lets add up and see what we get also i got some more stuff, two controllers and an advanced cablepack. started to dismantle the joytech (not much in there) starting to plan out components and some more planning nice powerswitch, this is usable The stock select-switch, no need to worry, will be used as the ejectbutton (maybe mod in a led for hd activity). Downside, PSU is sticking out, tried a few different placements, but I think it will interfere with the Motherboard causing distortion, better of building an extension to the case. Nice things happen. The leds for av-input will be fixed as controllerleds. And the rest of the front is made up, don't mind if it's uneven, things will be printed on the computer on stickers and put there before cutting it out. Made a layout for the backside, will be cut from "plastic" film. Cut the hole for the DVD-tray. Cut the remaining holes in the front, still needs to be filed Drilled the holes to the motherboard and dvd-player There will be more modding and construction, here is a sketchup of my planned TV bench (matching surround speakers will come). [click for bigger pic] Finished the sketchup of my speakers, matching the tv bench. [click for bigger pic] Done with the holes in the front. Testmounted the controllerports. Fixed a supportbracket to the hdd and mounted all standoffs for the motherboard. Painted the controllerports to match the front. continued...
...continued Solider the LCD to the chip. Tested the LCD. Solidered the DVD-dongle. And the NME-X IR mod. Made a stop for the controllerports. Now I'm waiting for my friend to recover from his cold, so we can go to the shop and build the extension on the case.
