Have been reading this forum for along time now and thought it time to have ago myself. The Plan ----------------------- 1. To make my shuttle quiet. 2. Have overclocking potencial. 3. Just to look good. WC Parts used ----------------------- > Black Ice Micro rad. > Laing 12v DDC pump. > Custom made spiral CPU block. > Modded X-ice chipset block. > Danger Den blue fillport. > Generic 10mm clear tube. > Inovatek Screw fittings. Total cost: £120 / $230 Progress ---------------------- This pic shows my pump mouted on its holding bracket. I made the bracket out of some spare aluminum I had laying around As you can see in the pic below, I am gonna use some bolts to hold the bracket in place. It can also be removed when I need to take the motherboard out. Do you think it's gonna fit? This shows how close the pumps tubes are to the graphic card. Lastly, the back plate which will hold the radiator. Not decided if I wanna have either a 80/92/120mm fan for pulling the air through the rad? This is all work in progress and I would apreciate you thoughts and comments. Until the next update.....
Often thought about water cooling my shuttle so I'll look foreward to seeing how you cram everything in.
Lucky you got nice small bore cooling going on there. Was a complete bitch to fit the Zalman stuff in my shuttle.

This looks to be a nice shuttle. Tbh, go for a 120fan if you can get hold of a 80 to 120 adapter, if not 92. Its quieter remember
Took a while to make them Nexxo! Dunno if I'm gonna go with a bigger fan as it would require an adaptor which would further increase the overhang on the back of the shuttle. I need it to be compact and sorta look like it belongs there. Was thinking about a push/pull system using 80mm fans, but split the 12V rail so each fan is running on 6V. Might be alot quieter?
I had a friend who has CNC capabilities to machine the block. I drew it up in AutoCAD 2004. Just waiting on parts shipping in from Germany, then the real fun begins
Looks really sweet so far. Are there watercooling setups available specifically for Shuttles? I'd love to find something similar for my Shuttle for a reasonable price.
Really great looking so far, keep it up! Close fit with the pump there. As for the fan, I'd really suggest 120mm since they move a lot more air per revolution and thus you can have them quieter with the same airflow as a smaller fan.
There are none specifically for shuttles, but there are a few which will fit into the shuttle without alot of modding, like the Globalwin Silent Stream or Thermaltake Aquarius II. Can't test yet as it's not finished. Sounds good but the fan and adaptor mounted on the back of the BIM (Black Ice Micro) would stick out along way
Thanks, that Globalwin Silent Stream definitely has the edge in looks, and seem to run about $20 cheaper (at least stateside). Will be very interested to know how your project works out.
Interesting project. But what possessed you to buy one of those LED loaded memory modules to put in a Shuttle where it will almost never be seen ? Just curious.
