I am having a hell of a time breaking the 9K barrier. My highest 3DMark05Pro score has been: 8975 but I am hoping to surpass that when I replace my RAM. I was hoping to be able to break 9K using air cooling (and probably could) but my RAM craps out before the air-cooled CPU or video cards do...

I guess I could turn down the image quality settings just to be an official member of the 9K Club but I would hate to have to "cheat" like that. So far all my 3DMark05 settings are stock/default.

Not sure if this link will work but here is my best score: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=511652

    ****ABOVE LINK CORRECTED****

Anyone know why the Video clock/mem speeds are all hosed in the score results?

Is there a link on the Futuremark website for viewing the highest score recorded? I'd like to see what the highest obtainable score is so that I can make it my goal.

You are right....I am not tripling your vanilla... YET! That score was achieved with no video overclocking and I believe SLI was disabled. Hopefully some new RAM will open things up for me as that seems to be my current bottleneck.

One thing I have noticed with the SLI setup, so far, is that I have been unable to OC the core speed above 445. I don't think it has to do with heat though because The "Test Changes" setting won't approve anything over 445 for me and I doubt during its testing period that it actually gets hot enough to cause stability issues. I dunno... should know if heat is the issue by this weekend (Danger Den GPU blocks in the mail.)

Hmm odd. My cpu score is much higer then yours at a lower clockspeed?

    On CPU test1, 2.5 fps vs. 3.6fps. 2760mhz v.s 2670mhz. CPU test2 is identical fps though.

I have fx5900xt by MSI and I get only a little bit above a thousand (depends on OC) And you know what, I don't give a $%|T cause HL 2, Doom 3 are playable and enjoyable on average video settings. But most importantly I get max online fps in UT 2k4 thus I save money and wait for new technological advances in graphic card industry... =D

Although If I'd have money to spend I'd definetly upgrade.

3Dmark 2005 was a bit too rough. Previous version were more of a global benchmarking however the latest version became only high-end system benchmark. Maybe because they are not planning to release new version soon...
