If you feel comfortable fitting it yourself I can try and get you a price on a new one. Shouldn't be much as he has a few scrappers out the back AFAIK...
thanks a lot but we fixed it. it was the starter, the teeth were worn to buggery(its ok since it has worked for 15 years). thanks a lot
Tough break. Was it the same PDA that survived last summer's dog/bike incident? Sounds like you should try for a job that doesn't entail phone support. I know how frustrating it is to try to really help people and it seems that management really doesn't care how bad the support provided is as long as you follow their little rules.
By the way, if anybodies intersted, this is what happened to that mobo that fried... Sorry for the poor picture quality, it's my camera phone...
Is that a new PDA i see or is that a different one? nice picture quality edit: or did it used to go into the dock to the right of that one
The gray PDA to the left is one I'm trying to mod to display my system stats. The battery is no good in that one, and it's crap anyway (monochrome). The dock to the PDA that broke is the one to the right... I've just not had the energy to toss it yet. Quality? Meh, it's a cheapy camera. HP M307, cost me $200cdn which was everything I had in the bank (I thought about it for a bit, what would make me happiest while I had this time off, and it was a decision between the camera and to my Giant working).
Why thank you. I actualy got the desk the same night my old camera died... I took a before shot of my desk (rather bad, but impressive none the less), and when I went to take an after shot, the camera was dead. Ah well...
You would have thought my bad luck ran out a while ago... Nope! Can you guess what happened yesterday at 5:30pm? I was out riding my bike, minding my own business, when some stupid **** decides he doesn't have to stop for a red light. I got ran over by a ****ing van while riding my bike. I managed to walk away from it badly brused on my calves and palms though. Unfortunately, my only working bike is no longer working, and I don't have the money to do anything about it because I still don't have a job! How sad and pathetic am I that I can't even get an interview at a mcdonalds?! And now, my cell company is charging me for things that they shouldn't be, and they've just cut my phone off! Now I don't have a way for anybody to contact me - including employers! Now ontop of it all, I'm depressed beyond belief...
At least make the guy who hit you buy you a new bike and charge him for medical stuff. Although knowing your luck you either a) lost contact info or b) never got it
No, I have his info, it's safely in my wallet. If I sue him though, I'll get charged myself as I was riding on the wrong side of the road...
You should still try and make him replace the bike at the very least, he's still primarily at fault for running the light. Keep it out of the courts because that wastes everyone's time and money though
