Ok guys, not sure whether this is the right place but would appreciate your input.

I'm after a new webcam, for IM chat with friends & family abroad, but not sure what to look for. Anyone got some good advice/reviews/what to go for ?

    TIA

I got a mid price Logitech camera - its was $35 USD from Newegg. Works like a charm, nice clarity and works very nice in low light.

Buy one with a built in microphone as it's easier to set up.Logitech are good as you can send video files and photos, you can get one for £20 and another for £50 which does much the same but takes better still photographs. Most cameras are 30 frames per second but Philips do a 60fps one but it's more expensive.

I've had two logitech cams and they both dissapointed me in respect of image quality :(
My vote goes to creative (vgood image quality).
