Curses...I suppose I'll settle for not being first for the outside window idea...

...Zap's AMD Shuttle did the outside window, I saw it in person at Quakecon, it was really very nice. It's where I got the idea.

Has anyone put some LED's in an outside window?

By that i mean into the outside edge so the whole lot lights up with the perspex acting like a prism.

Could be a good mod :D

Air will be used at first. Water down the road. When I get the water stuff I will remove the HD bay at the bottom and insert most of it down there.

Now I am moving to the inside of the case while I wait for some more stuff. :)

    Small update

    Worked on the front intake.

First I measured a center point and drilled a starter hole.

Next I drilled a hole for the 92mm fan hole. Then I screwed on the ring for a quick look.

Then I installed the fan with spinner on the middle.

Also I repainted the hose so the inner area was black and not blue like before.

Sweet sweet. I'm going to do something smiliar on my LI. Did you lose the Power/HDD activity leds by mounting that there? I plan on moving the 120mm fan up there as well and when I do I'll have to nix that.

Also like the idea of the shower hose as well. Again I have something similar planned but with clear tubing and 6 holes drilled.

Great minds do indeed think alike.

BTW. It looks like you did some work in the front drive cage area. What are those 3 bolts for?

The power and HDD led will indeed be mounted elsewhere. Although where exactly is still being weighed. I bought some chrome led holders for where ever I end up mounting them. When I mounted this I could have moved it up to keep the front usb, etc ports but I have no use for them so I decided to put it as low as possible to cover this area instead. Even with that I still had to lose at least the HDD activity led. So I finally decided to lose both on the front all together. Leaving only the switch.

The 3 bolts in the drive area are to hold some wire mesh that will cover the area below it from the windows view. The window design shows a small area of the bottom on the left and really there is nothing there to see. (The last picture above shows this) So I wanted to mount something that let light shine through, but would not really grab your attention. So above you are seeing the bolts, but I have not yet added the mesh in that picture.
