I'm just working through testing this motherboard at the moment... I managed to grab a 400MHz HTT screengrab, but unfortunately I'm running out of memory speed at 3:2 :blah::blah::blah:

I've got 375MHz HTT fully prime stable... r0x0r board tbh

Thats a damn fine HTT tho, those DFI's are stunning...
Just stick another divider in and push it further ;) (should have the 2:1 divider left??) What LDT are you running to hit 400 btw?

Excellent Bus speeds bigz; Now put a phase change cooler on that CPU and let the processor overclocking commence :naughty:

It's OCZ 3500 EB running at 3.0-3-3-10 with 3.0v - higher volts didn't seem to help the cause, I've had up to 3.7v through it...

There should be the 2:1 divider left yeah, LDT was left at Auto, but I would imagine that it was at 2x. I remember crashing at about 360MHz HTT, which would indicate the difference between 3x LDT and 2xLDT. :)

I'll have another mess once I've got through benchmarking a few other motherboards - none have come close to this in terms of overclocking so far. I might even get some watercooling up and running to see how much fun I can have with that too. Also, I might give the 2x256MB Kingston HyperX BH-5 I've got a run out too, should do 270MHz at 2-2-2 with around 3.2v :D

Might still be at 3, some people have had close to 1200 HTT outta them. Theres a version of A64 tweaker that gives the multi if thats any use...

interesting - I'll have a look when I fire the board up again.

Say bigz, anandtech said that Nforce 4 performs best with timings of 2,2,2,7-versus even 2,2,2,5. Can you confirm or disprove this?

Tras 7 seems to be the sweetspot in the NF4's, where tras 10 is so on the 3's

    Nice.

What chipset voltage are you putting through it bigz? Also, if you've got smart guardian, can you tell me what your "PWM IC" temp hangs around at? (I think NVMonitor reads it as system temp aswell)

    Cheers,

I've not got any temperature monitoring software installed tbh - I was running 1.7v through the chipset IIRC

I'm testing the motherboard at the moment, and thus I'm running at a lower multiplier to remove the chances that the CPU will be a factor in affecting the motherboard's stability at the increased front side bus. I'm sure the board will go higher when I get it running again - i ran out of memory speed on this divider.

strange, have you lowered the HTT multiplier?
