I jast receive my LCD in the mail. and i dont know how to conect it to the LPT connection. the lcd have KS0108 Controller, and 40 pin, however i think that the 20 pin on the top is GND. this is the dataSheet: http://www.lcdmodkit.com/sheet/lkg128064d2ds01.pdf some Pic of the LCD: Can someone plz give me a sketch of how to conect
It looks like you follow this schematic, the only difference being that on pin 19 on your LCD, you wire it straight to GND and connect nothing to pin 20.
finally i conected the LCD like in the schematic whypick1 gave me. but the screen all black, and notting work. what could be thr problem? I duble checked all the wiring for short whit multeMeter.
It is good practice to do some research before you buy an LCD.... Anyway it looks like the contrast is too high, so either that's wired wrong or turned up too high on the pot. Second, you have to tell us how you are controlling it, ie which software are you using? If you only power it up, nothing will show on the LCD.
