Those are some very nice cuts. Much better than my first ones. I had fan holes that looked like eggs. :duh:

I still have fan holes that look like eggs, and I've been using a Dremel for years...:worried:

Nice job. Clean cuts with a Dremel are an art in themself :hehe:

At a guess, I don't think it's mesh. It looks like the plastic diffuser stuff on flourescent light fixtures like in an office. Probably about $5 for a 2x3 piece or so.

Am I right? Do I win a cookie?

Nice work :) I also like the personality of your touch to this. It's pretty similar to my own work, although I yousually prefer a bit more harp edges. But thats just me. Keep up the good work, I see talent and potential.

I dunno about that. More complex patterns aren't really that much harder once you have the essential techniques down. They just take more time and care. Go slow and I'm sure you'll do fine.

Just like he said. I did my dragon sidepanel at the first time, it took me 6 hours straight to do it so yeh. It isn't that much harder, just be patienced and think about every small cut, how to cut it best. :D

    Looks good :dremel:

Did you cut that from the painted side or the non-painted (inside) side?
If from the painted side (that's kinda what it looks like), I would suggest cutting from the INSIDE next time. It conceals it if you slip, and it also keeps the painted edges there, vs having the little silver streaks on the edges =).

Also, I would advise sanding it down a bit (doesn't looks smooth enough on the edges.) you don't want to slide your finger along it without it being nice and smooth... :eeek: :wallbash:

Well as was said at the top, this was practice on a non-used case and that the cuts were just finished. So yes, if I was to use it there would be alot of clean up to do. This was just the first time trying this and wanted to see how I could do it. :)

Great 1st go, i would thought try and have a go at that design with a jigsaw then do the smaller bits with the dremel. then u wont spend as much time putting new discs on.

mod on and get spinning :dremel:
