OK so i'm completly new to this whole modding thing, i swapped my laptop for a mates old modded system (thanks RobbieGSM ) and now i'm hooked The original case All i've done so far is swap all the internals from one case to another (a Cooler master 201b sx2)but thats not enough, so heres a log of my first ever atempt to mod a system Forgive me if the descriptions are a bit dodgy i'm still working it all out ok so the system is: AMD athlon 1700 ATi 9700pro graphics card 2x cd/dvd/rw one cooler master one unknown 40Gb & 30Gb HDD's and some blue neons stuck in there for good luck The New cooler master case Fist of all i plan to tidy up the insides as it's a right old mess and have a new colour scheme by replasindg the fans with some New Xxion UV reactive Fans and some green Dual Cold Cathode tubes, next up are some new IDE cables to match and a Super Flower Master 4 Fan Controller and Temp Sensor to keep it all under control. Once thats all sorted it's time to upgrade to a AMD 64 processor and a bigger faster HDD, i dont really use the system for much gaming so i'm happy with the graphics card for now. but after looking around the internet for awhile theres so may possibilitie on what i could do i dont even have a full plan as i'm learning new things all the time, so i'll just have to keep you all updated. Any ideas or advive would be apriciated.
Welcome to the board Tom. Can't say much, it looks great how it is now! if you get a 64bit cpu you will need a new mobo and maybe ram.
Ok so i've decided to upgrade the processor and mother board fist so there'll be a AMD64 3200 processor and a Super Flower Master 4 Fan Controller coming tomorrow. I have also ordered all the new fans and cathode kit, they should be here next week, just need to find some decent fan covers ( all the ones i've found so far have been tacky or just boring). Ii'll get some pics up when it's all in there,
