I really have no idea about PSU and rail voltages, but I was looking at some stuff in Everest and saw this and wanted to know if they were normal.

    Voltage Values:
    CPU Core 1.68 V
    CPU Aux 1.68 V
    +3.3 V 3.36 V
    +5 V 4.89 V
    +12 V 12.48 V
    -12 V -12.40 V
    -5 V -4.70 V

they're fine. the lines are never their exact voltages, but that close is fine.

First of all, to get an accurate reading you must get a multimeter.

If you want to know if those voltages are ok, go to www.formfactors.org or http://forums.gideontech.com if you go to Gideontech, check the Electronics section, it's as sticky. ;)

yeah, so according to SpeedFan, my voltages look like this:
    core1: 1.09
    core2: 2.54
    +3.3: 3.36
    +5: 4.01
    +12: 11.78
    -12: -6.52
    -5:-1.33
    +5:4.14

now its the -12 and -5 that worries me, but the fact that there are two +5's listed (both with different values) is giving me hope. i guess ill have to pull out hte multimeter sometime soon. would it be a worry if the -'s were so poor?

I even saw 3.3 V dip down to 3.15 and everything went fine

The spec allows +/- 0.25V on most rails, so 4.01/4.14 on the +5V rail means either your system crashes every 2 minutes or Speedfan is wrong.

With software voltage & temperature readings, if it ain't broke it don't need fixing. Use temperatures to compare a change in cooling setup, not as actual values.
