Mhh probably my old tnt2 oc'd 25% on the stock passive cooling. Was able to run AoM smooth on it as well. Either that or my Gainward 5900xt which I have now.

Current 6800gt im using now. Coupled with a 4.5GHz p4 it provided an incredibly delightful gaming experience in splinter cell.

Otherwise, my old 9800pro - cause it was great and did me good for 2 years til i gave it to my brother. Although, the most love i ever had for a video card was my £100 3DFX voodoo 1. Awww Resident Evil 2 in full 3D acceleration.

I'm gunna have to go with the pair of 6800GTs. I used a friend's x800XT (AGP) in my old P4 system and it was quite nice as well. Of course I was coming from a 9600pro, so it was like 6 times faster.

my geforceFX 5900. got it for $170 when they were fairly new. it was an oddly low price so i jumped on it. a week later they were $280. ive been using it ever since. kept me at high resolutions in all games, never let me down. and i will continue to use it until i cant run a new game at at least 1024x768. which hasnt happened as of yet.

never lets me down. easily the best. though i've only had one card before this- a geforce2 mx400. that was also an awesome purchase, but it was never in the high end. and it didnt last as long as this has/will

I love my 9800SE AIW, clocked right up to 9800 XT clocks with the softmod :)

I think my favorite video card(s) that I've used were my Voodoo 2 SLI - shame I sold them, I'd love to get them back for history's sake. :cooldude:

3Dfx Voodoo3 2000 PCI. Turned my crappy computer into a respectable gaming machine. Especially when most of the games ran Glide.

    6800 Go Ultra 256MB...

Although my Hercules 9800 Pro probably wins because it was so cheap and lasted so long, and is now serving my brother equally well.

Have to agree with Bindi about 3DFX Voodoo 1 and Resident Evil though, what a change...

I love my Ti4200. I bought it for ~£100 and it's held out for 3-4 years without showing it's age. With Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Chronicles of Riddick out now I'm thinking of upgrading again and the 6800GT looks like being the card of choice (possibly SLI).

The best would have been a Matrox G400, passively cooled. =) I have nothing but troubles with fans on my Visiontek GeForce 3. The stock fan, fell off! I put on a clorb, and a bering went out on it. I't now surving on a Vantec copper cooler (don't remeber the exact model) which is ratteling as if it going to have bering troubles soon. . .

Although I love my x800xt pe; the best card I have had for its time etc would be the 9700 PRO. Anyone who has owned this card will also prob agree - beat all competition at time and still not a bad thing to own one now. When I build a secondary 'back-up' rig that is what I will put in it.
