    Thanks guys.

Long time no see Bradish. Good to see your monkey face around agian. :D

Well the 4x8 sheet of plexi cost me about $300.00. Wich about gave me a heart attack. The rest of the mod supplies are easy enough to find prices for. Sapphire of provided most of the real hardware including a Kick A$$ Mobo and Videocard.

oh man, can't see why you didn't peltier/Water cooled it. And the with some tacky insulation so a bit real frosty condesation (on harmless places however) would take place.

THAT would be frosty uh? :naughty:

I dunno. Like I said I just called them up and asked for a sheet of two-way mirror plex. I had to make sure it was Two-way as they do sell just plain mirrored plex (not see through). Then I went and picked it up.

    try googling Two-way security glass.

I will be there tomorrow and I will be sure to grab a picture of your case for you and post it here. It is gonna be pretty hectic up there from what I understand. Yikes.

The Liquid Metal "Blizzard" Demo PC

Here is the whole reason behind this PC.
    "Liquid Metal Cooled Radeon X850XT"

When they asked me to build a Demo PC for this thing the first thing that Came to mind wasn't
"Wow, What a great opportunity to build an Awsome Mod"
To be honest my first reaction was:

"Will I get to play with this Graphics card!"

They told me I would be able to and I was "In".
They had me at Hello you could say.

Sapphire then sweetened the deal by adding this Mobo into the PC.

Sapphires New "PURE" boards are nothing less than Awsome.
Now that I knew the dream hardware I was itching to mod.

The Liquid Metal "Blizzard" Demo PC

Unfortunately I didn't take pics of the box of parts or even the pieces partly installed.
Because at this point I have about 2 days to get it put together and running,
get pics, get it boxed and shipped. I have worked every night after work for two weeks
and two weekends in a Row. I am tired and kinda loopy.

Here are a few pics of it being put together.

This board is still so new that it doesn't have a place to hook up the fancy
bulgan swithes I put up front. The power and reset are only onboard.

Here is my computer room. It became quite the mess as well.
Here are some pics I took loading the OS.

You will notice the card in the PC is not the Blizzard card.
They didn't quite have it ready for me yet, So I used the New X800XL instead.
They did still say I would get a later opportunity to "play" with thier new
Liquid Metal Cooled card. I must admit I am very curious about it.

These are the only pics I have of the bottom inside.
The wiring is a tad messy but, cleaned them up a bit after I made sure
everything ran ok. This is also the only pic of the Drive Cage.
It was two pieces of the Mirror Plex on both sides of the DVD Drive.
The SATA-HD sits on top with the blue light puck.

Its hard to make out because of the mirror of the acrylic.
The Two Acrylic pieces around the DVD are also threaded and screwed in from the bottom of the case.
You can also see 1 of the 2 - 120 mm fans in each corner for freash air intake.
The bottom sits 1" off the ground and gets plenty of cool air from there.
I put silver fan filters on there to keep out the dust and whatnot as well.

Here it is lit just for kicks

Day before Ship out date I get the last missing pieces.
The Zalman CPU cooler and 1G of Corsair XMS memory.

Out with the stock cooler in with the Zalman

Here are some close ups of the X800XL 512mb Video card

It worked flawlessly while I had it. I downloaded the HL2 demo and
played it with everything on the highest settings with zero problems.

With that said the Demo PC was as done as she was going to get in the time I had.
I was really hoping to get ahold of the Blizzard card
and add some white LEDs and do the same with the Zalman cooler.
Giving them an "Icy" look to match the theme.
but alas... parting is such sweet sorrow.

Even after such a short amount of time with it. Letting go and shipping out the compy is hard.
There is always a piece of you that doesn't want to see "Your Baby" go.
Then the is that other part that doesn't want some randome UPS guy
putting his mitts all over her.

So now we come full circle. The original design was for it to match the Liquid metal "theme" when the PC is off. As you can see when the PC is off it looks more like a chromed metal cube than a Plexiglass case. It also Matches the Blizzard guy as well.

Then when it powers up and the lights come on the them becomes the colder "Blizzard theme". Two themes in one case.

I was back and forth with the handle. Did I want it or not?
Eventually I gave way to the reality. For now they needed to open the lid every time the wanted to start it up so it was really Needed.

A newer board should be installed soon and they can hook up those
nifty Bulgan switches. They light up blue and the bottom one flashes to HD Activity
    [IMG]
Here is a view of the back I/O ports. I added a little warning that say not to pic the PC up by the Lid.
I think it would do OK for a while, but over time might begin to crack.

and here you see it powered up

Sapphire should be sending me pics of the Blizzard card
Installed inside the PC from E3.
I will post them up as soon as I get them.

heheh...I might have gone a little crazy with pics.
