    G’day All,

I need some help deciding between two cases. The Coolermaster Praetorian(PAC-T01) or the Coolermaster Wave Master.
The case will undergo a decent amount of modding, so keep that in mind when deciding.
Could you also give a reason to why I should choose either case. You may just give me the perfect reason to choose either case.

    Praetorian:
Loads of potential, but a bit bland. (but the mod should fix that)

    Wave Master:(but silver version)
Looks great, but the front is somewhat limiting and 1001 people have already modded it. (but being original in my mod should fix that.)

    Thanks for your help,
    Nathan :D

The praetorian is a clean slate- that's why I like it. With the wavemaster you are somewhat limited (sometimes not a bad thing) with what you can do to it.

Thanks for the help so far.

I am in the middle of mod designs at the moment, but I am starting to focus on the window/s. I'm trying to be as original as possible but there are so many mods out there that it is hard.
To unrealhippie and eek, if you don't mind importing the case I can help you both out, just PM me.
I will post pics of some of my designs over the next week to get some feedback. (and ideas and help)

    Thanks,
    Nathan

with some modding, the pretorian can give a nice result because it's easier to start from than the wavemaster...

the Wavemaster looks good stock but you are right tons of people have modded it. if you have something in particular that you haven't seen done to it i would reccomend looking in to that if you like that idea.

the Praetorian is beautiful because as you said there are tons of possibilities. i personally like the blank slate look because there are tons of different things that you can do to it.

i voted for the Praetorian because this will allow you to go your own way a bit more than the Wavemaster.

I have just ordered the praetorian. With any luck you will see me in the project logs in a week or two.
I think the idea of a blank slate to work on opens up too many possibilties to ignore.

Thanks to all for your help.

It's the one I have. Out of those 2, the Preatorian. I can't stand cases with doors/flaps!

I like the Praetorian, it's much less restricting on what you can do with it.

:hehe: everyone sais Praetorian but they vote wavemaster :D

i like the wavemaster, but theres not much to do there except add a window and play with it's insides :hehe:

so if you want to be 'extreme to the max' and Mod it Up! then go for the Praetorian since it's pretty simple, smooth and has quite alot of potential if you stamp your own mark on it... :thumb:

edit: no they don't just the poll colours are mixed, and im too lazy to read it's lables after i posted the vote...

I never did understand these make-up-my-mind-for-me threads. If you can't make the simplest decisions, just don't do anything. There isn't anyone here who knows your modding potential, your skill level, what your favorite color is or what you think about certain shapes and styles. That is all in your head. It's almost like asking what car you should drive or what underwear to put on today or what to put in your coffee.

What has me even more curious is why you posted a picture of the Blue Wave Master, when you meant the plain aluminuminuminum one. If you are going to go to the trouble of stealing bandwidth and images from Newegg, why don't you steal the right one?

Anyway, good luck on the decision process. Just keep in mind that it won't be an original mod unless you come up with the ideas too.
