Counterstrike Case for a friend-06/05 Nightshots added

Now im at it again! This case is a project for a friend of mine his stepson wanted a Counterstrike case so he asked me to make one for him.and since i just love making cases i agreed to do it. I started with a really crappy looking old miditower.


This case would not win any beautycontests thats for sure. So lets make it better shall we

After removing almost the entire front i used a stainless steel mesh to make a new front.


I wanted to get some texture on thes mod so tons and tons of putty was used


After that i drybrushed the whole thing in som dark Grey, brown and green tones


I wanted a big CS logo on the side so i made one out of lexan and glued it in place on the side



Then i covered it all up with putty


And then some color



After some more drybrushing this is what i ended up with



For the other side i decided to make a Colt M4a1 and a Ak47. and i also made a plexiplate with the guys nick that will be lighted with a couple of leds to make it glow

unfortunatle my camera broke down so i couldnt get any pictures of the other side beeing done but heres the final result.


A top mouted window was cut out and more putty was applied


And guess what....More drybrushing


And finally a couple of pictures as tha case stands now





I stil have alot to do on this case like the power and reset swithes some lights and a varitey of other Counterstrikeish options to make this a case that any 14 year old CS freak would drool over Ill be back with updates soon.

Very cool! Are you going to drybrush more over the guns like you did on the CS logo?

 

I will be adding to both the paintjob and the details. ive got some 7.62 caliber shells that i will be using to make the Start,reset buttons. I will also make casefeet out of shells and add some other goodies There will be some bulletholes to

 

They'd better be real bulletholes, none of that dremeled junk

 

Of course they will be real! I just have to clean up my AK47 that i keep under my pillow

 

Nah, gotta leave it used and dirty that way it has more of a combat feel to it. Although I personally wouldn't sleep on top of a gun.

Maybe you could also place some leds in the plexi under the drypaint, hoping it would light up a bit, use bright leds on 20ma or higher

The powerswitch is finished!

First i took an empty shell


I used the dremel to make a hole for the switch


I had to dremel down the edges on the microswitch to make i fit inside the shell


But i got it in there at last


I made a bullet from a piece of aluminium


And this is what it looks like with the bullet in place



Ill be back soon with the reset switch and hdd/power led bullets to

 

Nice idea with the powerswitch, very original .

 

That powerswitch idea is SO cool!

 

You could start mass producing those powerswitches, but also make a few rheobus ones.
Excellent case!

 

Cool switch...can't say I'd like to fire that round out of one of my guns, though

wow, very interesting approach, before i saw the paint i was thinking "wtf is this guy doing..." then came the paint and now it stands at "daaaaamn..." very good work, great to see an original cs idea (they seem to be scarse now) keep up the good work love it
