    Hello all !

seems like I haven't done any serious project for a while...
probably had been a bit busy..

the Mini-mal-TX project is like based on mini ITX, but minimalized and minimized as it just can be.
this makes the nice name Mini-mal-TX :cooldude:
    • VIA EPIA M10000 => Changed to COMMELL LV-667 (Page 2)
    • DDR-SDRAM 512mb 400Mhz (or similar)
    • IBM Travelstar 5GB (2.5")
    • Modded Generic PSU
    • This is all....

all these small components will be compressed into very small dimentions.

    I/O:
VGA, LAN, USB, TVOUT, LPT, COM, Sound
    [IMG]

    the star idea:
    The Mini-mal-TX connector !
    minimal ATX connector
    this mobo at FULL LOAD consumes 2.5A @ 3.3v, 3.5A @ 5v, 0.18A @ 12v,
so one wire of each is largely sufficent !
(for being good heart, I left 2 GND wires :D )

    slim slim ! :naughty:

    more updates to come !

Please reply for new ideas / criticizing

    HD is ready !

    IBM travelstar 5GB
    2.5" !!!!!!

instead of searching and buying idiot adapter, I did the soldering myself to a normal IDE cable

I works great, loads windows etc....
not noisy at all. when attached to something - even less

    SMALL and THIN !!
    I love this thing !

    ENJOY !

Wow. Who the heck has time to solder their own cable like that. You've got mad skills and some serious patience. :) Subscribed...

this will be secondary computer, or mobile computer for mobile work...
media PC, and such missions that require light weight, small volume, and average processing power...

this took about 30mn, no doubt less time that it would take to find such an adaptor on the web or here, and much more cheaper - 0$$$ :hip:

Ummmmm you do realize that the motherboard uses those other pins from the atx cable to supply power to things right?

Yes, you can take one wire and branch it to all the pins that use that wire..but one pin doesnt work.

Actually deadly-app it should work, they're all typically joined together on the power layer of the mobo anyways.

    right !
though such a situation couldn't probably destroy the mobo...
at the worst case it would not boot up...
    never mind :)
