I have been provided with a UPS tracking number by absolutdealz via the Paypal complaint mechanism. However, the UPS website's tracking function says it is unable to trace the shipment. Can someone confirm the format of these numbers, please? The number I have consists of 11 digits in groups of 4, 3, 3 and 1 digits. However, the "unable to trace" result page suggests...
Maybe it takes 24 hours or so to become visible to the online tracking system. I'll keep checking periodically throughout the day. The number you have is clearly related to mine (not identical, thank God) so it seems plausible. Perhaps we'll be getting our goods after all.
Just tried the tracking number supplied by absolutdealz and the UPS system recognised it! Apparently the package is in Louisville and on its way to me using the Express service. I just hope whatever arrives isn't ticking as I open it.
The tracking information shows the box to be 20lb in weight... So I would expect that I will end up paying import duty for a box of bricks...

Well I'll be damned! It actually arrived this morning!!! Now why couldn't the seller just have sorted it out in the first place... or told me it was gonna take a few more weeks to ship!!!
Good news. It is weird that we had to go to these lengths. I'd have been perfectly happy to suffer the delay if only the seller had informed me. Ignoring my emails and then quitting eBay with items outstanding was plain suspicious. Unfortunately, my item is yet to arrive because, according to UPS...
I'm glad to report that I now have my item (had to collect from UPS cos they weren't going to deliver until Tuesday). The box wasn't ticking as I opened it. What's more, the keg is installed and working! Will now be in the car without having to carry a load of CDs around with me. I've cancelled my Paypal dispute and won't be buying anything this pricey from eBay again. Thanks for the support.
