Asus has Smart Doctor-program for adjusting graphic cards fan speed. The problem is that it works only w/ forcewares that are modified by Asus and those drivers crashes my games. Smart Doctor also likes to switch the silent mode for manual randomly. That pisses me off. So is there alternative solution for adjusting the fan? I would not like to break my warranty by installing Zalmans silent solution.

I'm sure many people have used Expertool for controlling the noisy 6600 GT fans in the past.

Where is the option for fan slowing?

EDIT: One of the buttons in Extool is grey, unclickable so I'll try coolbits.

EDIT2: Installed coolbits 2, There seems to be no option for fan controlling in forceware :sigh:

Probably means it's not enabled on the card. Read about it in another thread in this forum. Think you'll have to update your graphics BIOS to enable temp sensoring and thus fan speed altering. :)

Temp sensoring is enabled (Everest, for example, can show the temps) and fan controlling should be enabled if SmartDoc can do it?

Why cannot Asus make an separate program that controls the fan"s"..like small conf file where you just but, for example 50% save and execute the program and thats it. Why are they doing it the hard way?

I can't understand why Expertool-thingie works with you but not with me. The lowest button is just gray.
