I have to get this case done for a buddy of mine, so as usual my case is put on the back burner again! i dont like biohazard stuff, but he wanted it, so i did my best so far... wanted a flair too it though, make it not so the same as all the other biohaz mods! So, without further… This was the case in its beige glory: started gutting, cutting, and priming: here, I wanted a clean look for the side panels, and I hated the vent holes that were there, so in true modding form, I made due with what I had and came up with a plan for making them go away. now chassis and hardware
cont... Sidepanel time. I took extra care in cutting so that I would have something special later on for the case! Look on! ok, should I do this with the sidepanel or do this on the top-panel of the case? Decisions?! more to come
nice, could YOU expalin the painting procedure you are using and what paint, all the stuff i did is falling off my case!
I am liking reading this log so far. I am not much of a fan of biohazard stuff ethier, but I am gonna see what you do with this one. O one question, did this computer get new hardware, because it looks like a new mobo on there, and i dont see the huge P2 processor.
as of now, its just sanded down to the metal and then primed with hi fill primer. (duplicolor or plasticote work awesome...the "truck and suv" type) next i plan to use a striped down "linear" method of painting; i dont need it totally flat or mirror! there are a few great guides out there on painting. it just takes time! yeah, sorry. that is a Chaintech vnf3-250 and a Sempron 3100+ with a gig of geil ddr400 ram. new hard drives, dvd burner, dvd drive, you know the regular set-up. the new vid card will be a 6600gt. thats about it. nothing big or spectacular.
Great cuts on the biohazard symbol. I think I am gonna get almost that exact same system except no dvd burner and a normal 6800.
I deffo aggree, the outcut ontop of the window looks ace allthough, you really need to sand them cuts a bit
i like the look of the cut out over top of the hole. I think it would look good if you could put a layer of plexi between the two pices, trimed to the edge of the top pice. or rasie it 1/2 inch above the panel with some risers.
But then you should actually have to drill some 3mm or 5mm holes from the bottom, into the plexi (NOT into the top plate cutout as well!!) and put LEDs in it. We make a nice team Neo40k
Exactly..... We do make a good team... Everything could be held together with foam tape (case, foam tape, plexi, foam tape, top plate) to give a shadow and keeps the top plate smooth and bolt head free. or not foam tape and just regular thin double sided tape..... OR 2 part Epoxy - it will never come apart.
small little things... pics please. more later, i have to do some more painting and sanding before i post the next pics
