    Update!

Couldn't get it up last night but here it is anyways :D

Ok, I sanded down most of the bumps and figured out the spacing. Then another idea popped in my head. I wanted to put the bawls logo on this same side. So, what did I do? I'll let the pictures speak:

Back side panel with my new hole cut out for the logo
    [IMG]

Tape the logo to the back of the plexi, by the way, this is some UV reactive blue plexi I picked up from http://cuttingedgecasemods.com/

Fit behind to get an idea of how it's gonna look
    [IMG]

    Close-up of the plexi
    [IMG]

Now it was time to etch. Like I said earlier i don't have any fancy tools, so it's all gotta be hand etched. Here it goes!

Sucess! I think it turned out quite nicely

Now fit it back in to see how it looks with the bumps
    [IMG]

    Looking good :thumb:

Oh and here is the background that I am gonna put behind it
    [IMG]

Found the image online then recolored to bawls colors

Thats all for now. It's off to buy some stuff to mount these things
    Hope you like it!

Awesome! I love what you have done. Perhaps, you could incorporate one of those mini water coolers, and make it a Bawls cooler/dispenser, w/ a tap at the front ;). You won't need ALL that space inside there hehe...

I could really go for a cold Bawls right now...<3 Bawls.

I've seen a few Bawls mods done, but you look like you are doing this one right! Good planning and good execution!
The cobalt blue, I might have a suggestion for you. In your experimenting, go pick up either Duplicolor Metalcast Blue or Krylon X-Metals Blue. Those blues are transparent, a lot like the cobalt blue glass on the bottles. However, to get the right colors, you need to experiment with the base coat. Get yourself a sheet of scrap alu or steel, pain it with light grey primer/dark grey primer, and white (enamel or laquer... dosen't matter). After those have dried, spray the whole piece with the Metalcast. The blue will tint the base coat, but the base color will affect the shade of the blue on top... see where I'm headed on this?

You might be able to match your color by combining 2 paints. a good base coat, and then the metalcast or x-metals blue over that.
(Click on Blu-V in my sig, to see a small example of the Metalcast blue in action.)

Great etching job! Bawls is the best. [IMG]

    "This mod got bawls"

How about real water or somthing behind the bawls plexi? sealed of course and then you could add an air bubbler or somthing.

Great work on the etching!! Maybe you could put an etching guide online?
Anyway, I've seen enough of this to know it's got potential, so I will be subscribing!

Personally, i think the drink is crap, but this is a quality mod anyways, looks like it will look cool even if you don't know the drink! :hip:

Is it a scalpel? I think it looks like a rotary tool with an extension cord...

Fess up, phuzz. Inquiring minds want to know :D

In either case, that's some pretty neat hand etching.

    :duh: Doh! :duh:
didn't notice the cable coming out the end, it just looked like a scaple with a thin blade on the end,
still, it's a really nice etch...
