Well yesterday was my 27th birthday and I thought I'd show off my favourite present. Apart from a new circular saw, electric planer and Gorillaz album (\o/) my Oma (grandmother) gave me this. It used to belong to my Opa (grandfather) who died about 13 years ago. All the old bottles are glass unlike the new plastic bottles you get.

    Some of my favourites are:
Commonwealth games commemorative beer - 1982
The Turkish and Aztec coffee liqueur bottles on bottom shelf
Dos Gusanos (2 worms) tequila - 50ml with 2 worms. Insane!

About 15 of the bottles in there are from my own collection. It's interesting to see the old and new style bottles side by side.

QUESTION: Can anyone tell me what the light bulb bottle on the top shelf contains? It has no markings whatsoever and I'm not going to open it up just to find out what it is.

No. They were Austrian. The immigrated to Australia when my dad was about 2 or 3. I've never been overseas but when I go that's right up there on my list of places to go to.

I saw one of those light bulb bottles years ago, if I remember correctly it had gin in it. Not entirely sure though.

I had one of those lightbulb bottles a few years ago, but mine had vodka in it.

Thanks for the comments. Look forward to what your sister says piloux.

There is a guy in a bottle on the top shelf. It's a guy wearing a kilt playing bagpipes. No alcohol in the bottle - more for the how did they get that in there kind of think.

    I guess you could say it's a bottle of Scott(ch). :D
