41/42 isnt that bad with no overclocking i get 43 on my 3200+ AMD64 which should in theory do better.
I've used diamond cutting discs on my dremal for most stuff.
I had no problem cutting off thick rusty bolts so i'm sure a computer case would...
after reading it i would guess it probably doesnt like you defragging mutch if it doesnt use much space.
basically undelete in hardware format...
