It seems to me that they are a bit on an angle from the player's standpoint.

toyo, If I did it that way the lights on the "eq" would not work.
I like the idea but, it seems more of a pain to rig it up that way.
I plan to use the scrap metal from the cut outs to make other designs that will go in those 2 windows(glued to the acrylic).
toyomatt, sounds like a clever idea, but it's probably to hard for my modding skills.
I think I will keep it the second way.
The lamp does get hot ,but not hot enough to burn me.I can still pick it up buy the glass or the base even after it's been on all day.
Insted of attaching the acrylic to the window and painting the case, I decided to cut the window some more.
