    by chip do you mean CPU or chipset?

    If you mean CPU then I've already got an AM2+ Phenom II 940BE that I'm using, as I said in my original post lol

    If you mean chipset then we seemed to have settled on a 970GX platform

    Ah, well then a 790GX is fine, the Asus you mentioned isn't too bad.
