Games on play are still priced at £49 a piece. So £200 with a game
Not true apparently: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=19573
Guess we'll find out the real info next week.
Something some of you may find interesting is that IBM have been producing and shipping chips to Nintendo since July. So they should have a nice stockpile of Broadway chips, meaning there should be no way in hell that they could have shortages. Source: Link
But following recent circumstances, the Wii just keeps getting stronger and stronger while their opposition shoots themselves in the feet *cough* Sony *cough*
Wii will Rock!
Defiantly on my shopping list
Shotgun for him to announce an even cheaper price
I was gonna buy one anyway, but thats a cracking price! Though it will it probably be about 300 pounds for me once I get all the games I want and extra controllers. I thought ninty were realising the Wii before the PS3.... Nov 24th sets it afterwards
£149 + game + the amount of money I'll spend on buying snes/n64 games for their virtual console. lol. bargain!!
Yup. That settles it. I'm buying a Wii. The price and the DS Lite settled that.
I was told £179.99 in GAME but they didn't know what that included.
@ Temet yah but the release for the ps3 in europe is now march 2007, so in europ at least its launching well before the PS3. and here in the states it looks like there will be even bigger shortages then the 360 launch. I have a feeling wii will sell well this Xmas season.
like most consoles, thats too expensive for a little toy. i'll get one when i can get it for $8 like my n64, or free like my ps2, which i then installed a hard drive and loaded it with, uh, backups.
The ps3 got pushed back... wow thats news to me.... It seems like every week sony announce another bit of bad news! They are digging themselves deeper and deeper into a hole.
With all these consoles getting more and more crammed into them, USB, internet access, keyboards, mice etc; and becoming more like a lightwieght computer, do you think there might be a place for a reborn Amiga?
Thats the kinda money the general public are willing to part with for a console, not £500 or whatever the PS3 will cost (PC's are for high end gaming anyways).
There's gonna be a lot kids with a stocking full of wii at Crimbo
mint, my girlfriends brother works in GAME and was quoted £150 so I hope thats right, I think £150 is awsome for a console.
TBH I'll probibly spend about £250 on the day
Tattoo or a Wii?!?!?!?!?!!! C'mon man think of the children!!
wonder how this bodes for the PS3
So is it going to be Nov24th worldwide or just Europe?
And are they gonna be region free like it was rumored?
Hmm... many well-timed birthdays by the sounds of it. Mine's in a couple weeks... hopefully we'll get it before you guys like we always seem to
