    Don't get a 3-series. You'll look exactly like every middle-manager in the country, even with a 330Ci/i or M3...

I'll add another to the list - a Jaguar XJR, the previous series ones are an unbelivable car, and fall into your budget nicely. :)

S2000 without a doubt. They are stunning cars.
A work mate lives in Portland and drives one to work here in Yeovil (around 75 miles round trip) everyday since Jan when he bought it. He loves it. He often comments on how easy and comfortable it is to drive in traffic aswell as, obviously, the open roads.

He hasn't had anything go wrong with it whatsoever.

lol, I think ST220 sales have proberly rocketed since shown and loved on topgear, also everywhere I look there's suggestions on forums for people to buy them... :worried:

It's a fantastic car, that's why. Don't be put off because it's a Mondeo... after all, you're driving a far more common vehicle if you drive a 3 series. All I can say to people, is go test drive on and see for yourself.

Yeah, I agree with you there Pooks, that's why i have reservations about buying a 3-series, even if I could get a 330Ci.

But i'm still not sure about the ST220, personally, I reckon that i'd gravitate towards a mazda 6 MPS over the ford. Can't really explain why though.

At the moment, it's still the S2000 as the top contender and RX-8 as another. The C-class Merc as suggested is also in contention as well now (I got over that 'it's a girl car' quite quickly! :p )

hm... bit of advice here - if you have stuff that you like equally and can't decide which to choose, present the things you are debating between to your soulmate and ask her to choose which one is the prettiest ;)

It may sound impractical.... But mustang GT. Plenty of room, quick, reliable, looks good too.

Down side though would be fuel. And probably insurance. Just a thought.

FYI RX7 has horrid seals and needs extensive repairs after 80k. Id consider an rx8. Also the rx7 and 8 aren't exactly good mpg cars. Ive seen em get the same economy as a v8 in many cases.

Don't flame my suggestion as it was just a suggestion. Im planing on a 07 stang in the near future.

It's true they do need a good service/rebuild every 70-80 thousand miles. But they are like s**t off a shovel and cheapish compared to a similar performance car.
The rx8 is everywhere boring common etc.

and oh so so so boring *zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Personally i'd have an elise but suppose that's not really practical enough for everyone.

How about something a little different

got to be laugh :D although i don't see fuel economy being all that great.

Looks stunning, has the eminently drivable characteristics of any Ford and it's been uprated to handle even better.

My uncle made this a less than ecenomical car. Bought it off my mom years ago after 15 years or so of hard service. Finally wouldn't pass smog etc. SOld it to uncle-uncle gave it a scool V8 new audio seats etc. Says he will give it to me. Rates an average untested 12 MPG highway. O well I work so ya. hehe. go 16 year olds ith sports cars for cheap. hehe. He made it to do the 1/4Mile drags. 140ish top I think he said.he said he took it to 120 personnaly.

http://www.zerorotormotorsports.com/images/570_fc_etfronts1.jpg something to this effect with white I think at least it used to be. with a scoop instead of a manifold. But I would look for a newer RX7 as they look freakin sweet.

    For £15,000?

The whole point of the RX-7 is the rotary. Low slung and very, very light.

Sticking a V8 in it is akin to blasphemy!
