Looks like a pretty sweet setup - which I had that much to burn on mine :D

The Xonar soundcard won't be as good as an X-Fi for gaming as it doesn't support EAX, but I've heard they're great cards for music & movies.

I'd also get a Corsair PSU like the HX750w instead - but that's just because I swear by them :)

Other than that - all looks good.

I think that Asus managed to reverse engineer EAX so it works on their cards too (or can simulate the same effects not too sure) Review

I think that builds spot on mate :)

Neither do Creative's "Xtreme Audio" cards... so don't assume a Sound Blaster card will automatically have EAX.

Looks to be a good build, almost the same as mine, bar one or two things, and i don't think you will have any issues with it at all.

I would how ever eco deadlyavenger regarding the PSU, Corsair are built like tanks, and they actually feel it in your hand too, well worth the money in my opinion.

All I'd suggest is a more beafy cooler so your can overclock higher :) Oh, and possibly a couple of extra fans for the ATCS as it has 3 spare fan places, so you can enhance the cooling even more :)

Trust me the ATCS is 10 times better than a HAF 932.I have a HAF and my best mate has a ATCS, I was so tempted to steal his ATCS... It cools just as well, is half the weight and has dust filters!! And a amazing motherboard tray. The finish on it is lovely too :)

I would be tempted to replace the SSD with an OCZ Vertex, as those have better write speeds if I recall. I would also change the cooler to the H50 like lysaer said, as you can never have enough cooling for a hot running i7. Apart from that, the whole build looks excellent.

Looks like a lovely build, mind if I come over and play with it sometime :p

Personally I'd also be grabbing a Corsair PSU but the Seasonic isn't bad at all.

Its the Vertex 2 thats faster, the M25-X is faster than the standard Vertex :)

For random read/writes, the Intel drives are still some of the fastest on the market, and by far and away the most cost effective.

No point changing the PSU- I'm pretty sure the corsairs are built by seasonic anyway.

I'd keep the Seasonic PSU personally. Amazing PSU's, and the last time I heard, Seasonic made Corsair PSU's anyway.

Thanks folks for all the great advice folks. I have amended the PSU to the Corsair as there isn't much of a price difference and I have read some good reviews about it (and can't find any for the Seasonic!). The jury is still out on the SSD, will decide later after some more reading... Thanks again for all your help.

    SSD.....

Ok thanks again folks for all the replies, everything arrived yesterday including the H50 so I'm just about to get the screw driver out... the case looks awesome btw...

The only thing missing is the SSD, I need to keep the cost down to sub £200 and probably don't need anything more than 80GB so would I still be better off going for the Gen 2 - 80GB Intel SSD M25-M on balance?

    Thoughts?

That drive is pretty much the best SSD atm for price/performance/capacity ratios. I have one myself and its awesome.
