I play crysis and will be getting crysis 2, crysis generally plays nice but does stutter sometimes with the 4890 which does annoy me!

So could you give me an idea of what to get, could i have two opinions. One being what card should i get for an absolute maximum of £200 although will i benefit long term wise spending a little more?

I don't care which nvidia or ati or whatever just which is fastest, I do prefer XFX though but the brand dosen't matter much here just the model.

    Thanks.

If it was my money I would be getting the 2gb 6950.
The 6950 can be unlocked to the 6970.

Otherwise get a 560GTX and overclock the nuts off it.

Lokking at your rig maybe a CPU upgrade might be better if you arn't playing at a high res :)

yep...flog your old stuff and go sandy bridge with a 460. thats what i did, minus the 460.

you'll still get 150+ for the mobo, cpu, ram and gfx. add that to the 200 you already have and get a 2500k, p8p67 matx and gtx460 from ebay or in the marketplace here if you are lucky. the extra grunt from the cpu upgrade will allow you to play anything at good settings. I play crysis2 at 1920x1080 with no issues whatsoever and my gfx card is ancient!

my sb upgrade cost me 220 quid from ebay (145+75)

Age old argument, 6950 or 560. Both great cards, hard to choose between. I think nVidia because Crysis is a TWIMTP game?

Thanks for the replies, i have already upgraded to sandy bridge just need to buy a processor and sell my old stuff if anyones interested.

    I game at 2048 x 1152.

How do I unlock the 6950 to 6970? Is the any risk involved?

All the benchmarks I've been looking at show gthat for most of the time the 6950 is faster than the 560. I nmight even strech to the 570 though I don't know whether i can afford it.
