Thanks to some overtime, i have about £200 to spend on some new shiny bits for my system at the mo its the following Motherboard : MSI Z77A-GD55 CPU : Intel Celeron Dual Core G530 GPU : ATI 4870 512mb SSD : crucial 64gb PSU : Corsair hx620 Ram : 8gb Kingston HyperX Genesis PC3-12800C9 Its mostly playing WOW and trackmania at the mo, so it would probably suffice, but i really do fancy something a little better. If i had the chance, i would be buying a new CPU, GPU and SSD, but £200 defiantly stops that idea, so could anyone make any recommendations as to what would be worthwhile purchases within my budget, and the best order to do them is it worth buying a K series cpu second hand, or am i just wasting my money with what the machine does? cheers
Try and buy 2nd hand core i3 and pair it with an HD 7870 then sell your old gear your current cpu, gpu, ssd and use the cash to buy a nice 256gb ssd...
I agree on the 7850, they are a great card for the price, if you have a storage drive, a 120gb ssd will probably do you for the OS and your most used programs
I'd go new yes. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-052-HS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=411 Is a good deal. They usually sell for £90-£100 used.
