Intel 22nm CPU required is a technical way of saying Ivy bridge required. I also noticed that on their website after I'd built my PC

Getting an SSD should speed things up.

I've no idea, I thought it might save you a few £'s whilst keeping the cores though.

I don't really want an SSD at this moment in time.

And is there a noticeable difference in performance between 1600mhz and 1333mhz RAM? I may just go for a 1333mhz if I decide to go for a Sandy Bridge CPU.

Any reason why ? You will see a bigger difference than a change of CPU or memory.

Yeah but SSDs are very pricey, and the point of this thread was to reduce the price, and get more bang-for-buck.

What OP needs is a H68, if there was such a thing. Is there anything that is, effectively a "H", for the Z68, in same way as H77 is to Z77?

Not if he wants to play games on his PC. If I'd got an SSD I wouldn't have been able to afford my 6950

I think I'll be fine with my current build, which is basically the OP but with a B75A and either a Seagate or WD Caviar Black HDD, depends on what I can afford at the time.

Damn, foiled again! I was just wondering if I should take advantage of Scan's Today Only deal, but the PSU seemed quite cheap quality-wise.
