    Hello bit,

I'm after a graphics card for my fathers PC, its a core 2 duo something (built it last year and can't remember!) it has on board graphics so I'm looking to upgraded it to play the odd game for his birthday.

The two cards at this price point seem to be the Radeon HD 4670 and Nvidia 9600GT in reviews both seem to be similarly matched. So any advice or other options?

    Cheers.

You're better off buying from Scan than Videocardshop, they do refurbs.
    Here's a 9600 on Scan (£64)

If it's a C2D machine built last year I'm willing to bet that it has a PCI-E slot, even if it does have onboard graphics as well.

The 9600GSO is a good call, as is the 3850 if you can get one as cheap as £35! :jawdrop:

You could opt for a 9600GT, which can be had for about 45 quid if you shop around.

Is the 9600GSO just an overclocked 9600GT?

I would say HD 4770 if you can find one.
