    Recommendations please :D
Currently it will be mostly for older/less taxing games (Stratagy like Sins/TotalWar, some FPS like CS:GO, WoT, soon BF3) and currently I have a HD5570 which is good for light tasks and basic games, but not ideal.
I am pretty limited budget wise, and was just wondering what would be a decent card for around this price? I have looekd at a few GT640 reviews, and it seems pretty "meh" and for AMD it seems the 7750 is a bit "meh" too, both seem to be around my price limit, does anyone have any recommendations? I know the GTX650/660 series is due out within a few weeks, should I just hold my breathe til then? Or am I being overly harsh on the GT640/HD7750 (I used to have a GTX570 and before then 4870 CF so its difficult to.. tone down, i3 from an i7 too :'()
Thankfully the PSU I have means power isn't an issue, thats one thing I suppose!

    Merci

Choices are limited, for anything with decent performance, at that price. The new 650/660's are probably going to be well over £100, nearer to £200, for 660. A HD6850 probably comes nearest, if you can actually get one of those cheap ones. Even if you can't, the 6850 is probably the nearest to your price (not very), with decent performance. The other choice may be 2nd hand?

You could try and get yourself a 2nd hand ATI 5850 , still a damn good card.

I would go second hand, a factory clocked 460 like the gigabyte version, something like that

Try and go for a 460 or a 5850. I've seen quite a few second hand 5850's for under £80 on ebay.

A 6870 on the marketplace is like £70-80 now I think?

Oh? Where'd you see this? Lowest I've seen a 6870 was about £100.
I was going to pick up a 6850 purely because it is the best card around for £80-£90, from what I've seen...

Well gtx 560ti's are going for around £100 now, 570's about ~£130. I swear I saw a 6870 for 80 because I was tempted myself to buy it!

What resolution are you running at? I play WoT at 1650x1080 (or whatever it is) and get 60fps from my 6870. I think I picked that up from Ebuyer for £120 about 6 months ago, so it should have come down in price since then.

I also get no stutter from Rise of Flight any more (compared to the 8800 GTS 512 that I used to have).

I just sold my ASUS 470 1250mb on here for £70, something that like that would suit you a treat if you can find one S/H

Maybe this could be enough for your needs:

It's not much above your budget, and if you don't use too big a resolution, you'll be fine. It's a lot faster than your current 5570, that's for sure.
It uses about half the power a usual mid-range card does. And they seem to be pretty quiet. Plus, it's new, so you get full warranty and possibility to return it, not something possible if you go for a second hand card.

I will be bais and say go for a 2nd hand 1gb GTX 460, well in your budget and there are plenty of versions out there that have hardly been used by those with the upgrading bug.

Just post a wanted add in the market place.

I have mine sli'ed for ultra settings but i found i can play BF3 with just one card on medium settings no problem at all.
