    Yo,

I'm a nublet at graphics these days, and I'm also poor, but I feel like treating myself for (presumably) passing all my exams.

So, graphics gods, I would love some advice if you please! I have about £90 to spend, currently run a 8800 GTS 640, am running a monitor at 1920x1080, and really would rather like to play Skyrim.

    I also have a i5-750 at 3Ghz, with 4Gb of ram.

Last caveat, annoyingly, this has to come from Amazon. I'm a filthy poor student, and have a £30 amazon voucher, so by chucking in £60 I can pretend I really should spend I can hopefully procure something which will give me a bit of a boost. I was thinking perhaps a GTX 460 1Gb, but I'm not sure if there's better out there for the pennies. If I'm wasting my money, ok :(

    Cheers in advance guys.

Thanks! Is there anything startlingly close to that price range which I'd be shooting myself in the foot by not saving a little more for?

Not really, the 460 is about £110 and above, and the AMD equivalent in price is the 6770, which isn't as good :)

At Novatech they have a 6850 for £99 with free delivery, I am not sure how it compares with the 550ti though...

Edit- It is there own brand, I do not know how awful this makes it

The 460 generally performs better than the 550Ti, but the 550Ti is a newer generation of card.

Do people not reed the OP? It clearly states he has an Amazon £30 voucher, so he needs to buy it off of Amazon.

Try to nab yourself a HD6850. It might cost a bit more, but on the bright side. It will perform the pants off that 550Ti.

Is the 6870 really worth the extra moolah? I understand that it's better, but it seems to be less than 30% better for 30% more of the money. Again though, cheers for advice.
