In some ways I can understand why you did what you did, I certainly would not call you a jerk after all it's your machine but its a shame you did what you did. I'm sure the parts could have been salvaged to make a new machine for your local school, or maybe the college for training. It would have been nice to see long term studies done on oil submerged parts.
