well that engine is a right off, if theres enough wall thickness he could rebore it, but then it becomes weaker and might just blow due to boost.

9.3L that must be a 560 cubic inch engine, i seen a few 700's aswell, serious torque in these babies!

oh and mister J. Leno tank car is a 1100 cubic inch monster!

9.3L, sounds like a way overbored 502 big block (8.3L) and possibly stroked.

If he tuned it to run on pump gass then he is really good. I figure he is running 12:1 compression and bout 40psi of boost.

It looks like he was either using poor fuel and cause knocks and pings that totaly ablitherated the engine or he used cheep unhardened rods (doubtful). Another issue he could have had is turbo spike well beyond what the tuned it for.

Providing he didn't do any other damage besides rotating assembly and block and possibly heads. He could redo the thing better than ever with some eagle rods and not stroke the engine. Should cost him anywhere between 15-25k usd.

Also, 2200hp is impressive out of that displacement. However 8K hp + is even more impressive out of a top fuel dragster. Just to drive the supercharger on a top fuel dragster to peak it would take over 600hp and over 1000lb of torque.;)

Also running 7.60 with 2200hp is kind of weird, I don't know what that weighs but it looks small. I have seen cars do 6's with 1/2 the hp.

Nice machine regardless. I am sure he will rebuild it.
