Here it is, my entry for the July PoTM. Elegance in simplicity. I have withdrawn this entry.

    Basic processing in this one:
    1. Crop.
    2. Convert to B&W.
    3. Very slight tweak in the levels.
    4. Two passes of the Unsharp Mask.

    Enjoy. :)

I like the shot - I'm not entirely sure how it relates to elegance (simplicity definitely) - although I guess it's a matter of interpretation.

The composition is good although I think it'd be better if the water drop was in focus rather than the right of the twig. The B&W conversion definitely works though.

Yeah, it was a chore trying to get a water drop to stick, and trying to position the camera, all while not touching anything (the slightest movement sent the droplet cascading away). I wish the droplet could have been sharper, but shooting at f/2.0 with two close-up filters gave me razor-thin depth of field.

I'm not entirely pleased with this one. I had something in my mind, and this was not it.
