Cut the first track to length and attached to tank for testing. Will be doing the other one later today, once done can look at running up the motors to see how the tracks will run. Suspension sitting at the level i was hoping for and seems to work well. I still have the full waight of the jig on it as well which should make up for no turret etc in it. Testing to see what it will look like with the side skirt on, looks about right
to add some spice to your unfriendly config and for added realism, if there's space inside, you could mount a kaboom- box inside (big subwoofer operated arduino wise by the saiga trigger with recorded kaboom!) Your project is awesome!
It's called an angle grinder Really awsome build, and Equally deadly! I must ask, How will you be cooling the computers?
I'll be loading my own shells for it and have know a guy who is very good with black-powder, going to make loads with the correct amount of smoke and flame for it
Hay guys Sorry for no new updates but work has slowed down a bit, I discovered that if you are drilling through 4mm plate steel and the drill bit breaks you really should not have your thumb nail were the drill with broken bit is heading Lets just say there were a few "bothers" and "by gollies" flying around the workshop when it happened
Hay all Have finally got a bit of time on the project so have pulled it down and started work again. I've stripped the suspension units of one side so i can get them all painted and ready for final assembly into the hull, will do the other side the same. Am looking at buying in some die springs to replace the current ones but that can be done later. I have decided to go with a urban camo design using greys and blacks etc. Will probably look at a digital camo pattern for the top Cut the first sample piece of rubber for the track pads, these will be routed and cut to size and then a washer and rivet will hold them in place, will probably glue them on as well.
