Gutted mate! No, I can't say that's ever happened to me...I'd imagine that it's probably a case of "step out of the vehicle" then they handcuff you and put you in the back of a cruiser. Much like in the films really. Not on the same level, but I did get told off for wheelspinning in a car park today apparently the police can actually give you points for that or even arrest you for reckless driving. Suppose I got off lightly really
Sounds like your the kind of person we need to keep off the streets! There serious offences, and could kill people. If i were you i'd just be glad you only got what points you did and didnt get your licence revoked indefinatele. Ive never been stopped by the police, but it seems i dont drive like quite a slaptard, as you obviously do.
Street racing = gay? eh, maby, however street racing=FUN! Race On! ... and may you win the real GumBall3000!
i'm gonna enter the gumball one of these years. car to look for R34 Bayside blue... or K11 micra turbo'd
Damn thats bad, well at least your man enough to admit your mistake and take the punishment. Sorry to hear about your friend dying, my thoughts goto his family although it happened a few years ago it's something you never forget.
Thats exactly what my computing teacher thinks, but i am 18 years old, been driving since i was 17, and ive never done anything like that. I dont drive with any alcohol in the system (because even if its legal, and you hit someone, theres always doubt as to whether you were influenced!), I dont drive over the limit (since its there for a reason, except perhaps on motorways with little traffic! when i may hit 80-90). So i'd appreciate you dont write all "young people" off as bad drivers, trying to make excuses for your wrongs!
That is not the speed limit... On average there are more accidents and other things for people that age then people who have more driving experience. I used to think that I drove good when I was 18 but now at 22 I know that I was still learning. Not everyone is a bad driver but we all make mistakes. What I did was not necessarily the norm, the norm does not send people to jail for time behind the wheel but I know that I was inmature behind the wheel at the time and that is one of the reasons that I did the things that I did was I was young. I am not blaming it on other people.
And the real reason for the story is to show the consquences of street racing and reckless driving. Sometimes people do not relize what they are doing has consequences that they never thought about...
I'm totally against street racing, and I think you were stupid for doing it, but also I really feel for you, it must be a ****ty thing to have to go through being convicted of manslaughter of a friend. I try not to drive over 80 normally, which is pretty much normal here in the UK. I know that if I killed someone, I'd never be able to drive again.
Hmmmmm, i see you live up in Riverside... guess that kind of explains why you were doing what you were doing As it is southern california has one of the biggest illegal street race scenes in the US (cant say the world cause i dont know ) San Diego has had way to many kids die from it, i hope that the new legislation that they have brought against it works, keeps enough kids alive rather than dead from hitting each other or wrapping there cars around a telephone pole Never been arrested, various parking tickets and a speeding ticket.
No tickets, no speeding tickets... Yes that is true, last weekend there were about 35 cars behind my house racing until I called PD and got rid of them...
