Graphics $100-$170 card

    Well i have kinda been out of the loop on graphics cards for a while and i was wondering what card i should get for about 100-170 dollars. Im running a 2500+ athlon with 768mb of ram. I know this isnt a great system but i was thinking i could get a 9800pro or something better for my system. Well any advice is apreciated.

    The X700 only comes in the PCI-E flavor not in AGP i do belive

    If you want ATI go with a 9800 pro. Look hard enough you can get one to fit your budget :)

    The X700 is slower then the 6600GT in most respects. Go with the 6600 :thumb:

    alright thanks. Im gonna go pricewatching and scrounge me up a good card. thanks for all the help. Any recommendations on a good manufacturer ? I was thinking pny or msi ,but any thoughts would be helpful.

    Noooooo. I don't see the point of buying older hardware if the newer stuff you can afford? (lol, didn't mean to sound like yoda there)

    few bucks over budget (skip lunch for a day or 2), but makes the damn 6600 look like crap. :)

    Well, I was gonna come back and recommend the 6800 from Leadtek, but its out of stock, and I was about to order one :waah: :waah: :waah:
